Samsung Backstage
Samsung Backstage is an e-learning platform which delivers engaging content and personalised experiences to tens of thousands of retail staff in the UK. In early 2020, Samsung launched Backstage Live to help trainers reach retail staff without the need for face to face interaction.
I produced graphics for these bi-weekly online training sessions, including lower thirds, bumpers and animated shorts to advertise new promotions. I also provided motion graphics templates to promote Backstage Live on social. I also produced a series of dynamic and fun shorts, introducing the Backstage trainers to an ever-growing audience. A 30 second interview plays before each live training stream and social media teaser videos aim to increase engagement with the platform.
Elite Gaming Tournament
The Elite Gaming Tournament was a new initiative designed to engage thousands of brand ambassadors working in mobile retail across the UK. Huge prizes provided by Microsoft could be won by competing in games or by engaging with the live streams on the Samsung Backstage app.
Working with an agency-designed static logo as a starting point, I produced a graphics package including animated logo, titles, custom assets and streaming backgrounds. I also art directed, edited and animated teaser videos for social media to drive participation and increase engagement.
The 3 Star Podcast
In late 2019, Samsung began a podcast series featuring senior members of the product training team discussing tech and lifestyle topics.
The podcast team had a distinctive vision for the look and feel of the podcast video, which I brought to life using stylized colour grading and an animated logo. I was responsible for filming and editing fortnightly episodes in the studio and remotely, until late 2020 when the podcast moved to a live streamed format.
