Samsung Galaxy Z Flip3 & Galaxy Z Fold3 Device Training​​​​​​​
Samsung HQ in South Korea were looking for a team to produce lifestyle videos to support the launch of the newest Galaxy Flagship devices - the Z Fold3 and Z Flip3.
I was asked to write, direct and edit two lifestyle videos that clearly explained the features and benefits of the new flagship devices. The user group would be Samsung employees, channel partners and trainers who wanted a first look at the devices being used in a lifestyle context.
The concept presents the key wins of the device with a light touch, striking a balance between captivating visuals and succinct training messaging. Both videos have a distinctive look and feel, capitalising on the unique and aspirational device design. They also share parallel themes, featuring young creative professionals seeking inspiration and connection.
These videos were produced in the pre-embargo phase before product launch and released just after Samsung Unpacked in August 2021 on the global training platform.
Graphics Packages for Virtual Events​​​​​​​
Samsung launches at least one flagship product each year, with other products released every few months. Until early 2020, training conferences for new products would happen in person but during the first lockdown events were moved online. Pre-embargo virtual device training was regularly provided to delegates from channel partners such as Vodafone, EE and 02.
I created all motion graphics for these online events, including animated title sequences, bumpers and lower thirds.
Channel Partner Videos
As part of the Samsung Training Team, I have collaborated with channel partners including Sky, Vodafone, Tesco and Microsoft to produce a variety of training pieces. 
We worked with Microsoft to produce a series of videos to promote the release of several new computing and tablet devices in early 2021. Collaborating with Samsung Trainers on the script, I also edited and animated this content. These videos were initially distributed to Samsung Elites to arm them with the knowledge required to sell new tablet and computing devices.
The Sky Photography Masterclass on the Sky VIP app showed viewers how to get the best from their mobile phone photography in this 3-part video series. My role was to produce a title sequence for each episode as well as animated diagrams and title cards for the different topics covered.
Vodafone asked for a creative and fun 90 second ad for their online conference, to showcase Samsung’s newest mobile device, the Galaxy S20 Fan Edition. The purpose of the video was to train Vodafone delegates on the features and benefits of the device in a light, engaging way. I was responsible for the creative direction, storyboarding, editing, colour grading and animation. I directed the shoot remotely, with the help of seven device trainers who each shot their scenes on Samsung devices from home during lockdown. After the Vodafone conference, I edited the main video in to bitesize pieces of content to be repurposed on the Samsung Backstage app.
Samsung partnered with Tesco on a Black Friday deal for Clubcard holders, offering discount phone contracts on the Samsung Z Flip3. I was asked to produce a short video for the Tesco Channel Managers to show to Tesco HQ and Samsung HQ during retrospective meetings after the promotion had ended.
